Associate University Librarian
Provides support to patrons in a library; organizes, manages, and disseminates information in a variety of forms, including journals, periodicals, and books. Job Duties: Codes, classifies, and catalogs books, publications, films, audiovisual aids, and other library materials based on subject matter or standard library classification systems. Requisitions for the purchase of new books. Supervises budgeting, planning, and personnel activities. Checks books in and out of the library. Locates unusual or unique information in response to specific requests. Develops information access aids such as indexes and annotated bibliographies, web pages, electronic pathfinders, and online tutorials.

Primarily engaged in teaching and research or any combination of the two general areas. Analyzes, interprets, preserves, and studies and displays artifacts, antiquities, rare items, and visual arts. Researches articles to determine age, historical significance, and value. Preserves items using chemical solvents, solutions, and reagents. Sets-up period and theme exhibits for display and promotion. Oversees galleries, museums, or parks, and conducts tours and educational programs as required.

Appointment as Master Lecturer shall constitute a promotion from Senior Lecturer and shall be based on additional experiences and/or accomplishments in the field and assigned duties.

Teaches undergraduate courses, evaluates student progress, and develops course content. Serves as an academic advisor to students. A Master’s degree is required, and some experience in the field of study to be taught.
Appointment as Senior Lecturer shall constitute a promotion from Lecturer and shall be based on additional experiences and/or accomplishments in the field and assigned duties.

Teaches undergraduate and graduate courses. Develops and organizes course curriculum and instructional materials. Conducts research, publishes articles or papers, and has achieved a national or international reputation in the profession. Serves as an academic advisor to students and oversees independent study activities. Provides service to the department, school, or public through such activities as leading committees and volunteer work.
