Associate Curator

Summary

Primarily engaged in teaching and research or any combination of the two general areas. Analyzes, interprets, preserves, studies, and displays artifacts, antiquities, rare items, and visual arts. Researches articles to determine age, historical significance, and value. Preserves items using chemical solvents, solutions, and reagents. Sets-up period and theme exhibits for display and promotion. Oversees galleries, museums, or parks and conducts tours and educational programs as required.

Minimum Requirements

Highest degree possible in field or professional experience above what would be equivalent to the highest degree obtained; Evidence of creative work, professional writing, successful teaching, and research
